Marissa & Alisa live in the United-States, New-York. There has been an amazing chemistry between these two when they first met; Marissa says that this blind date was to be a casual thing, but things quickly became very un-casual, and she knew she wanted to see Alisa again! She remembers clearly that particular Sunday in the fall when they met at Hotel Chantelle, and were sitting in this gorgeous French-inspired cocktail bar in the sun, with a jazz band playing next to them, sipping Champagne… Alisa looked beautiful and at that moment Marissa thought to herself “I think I’m falling for this girl”. Marissa & Alisa are both strong women who complement each other so beautifully. Where one is weak the other is strong and vice versa, they achieve a great balance between them, and they laugh a lot together.
Fast forward to October 4, 2015, at the occasion of a weekend at the Raphael winery, Alisa decided to take the plunge and proposed to Marissa. What Marissa thought was a private wine tour of these very picturesque and beautiful vineyards, and of their gorgeous tasting room, turned out to be a very elaborate secret plan!
When they were taken underground into the wine barrel room, a place that looked like a castle, with flickering lanterns on the walls, wrought-iron bars, a charcuterie platter and sparkling wine for them to enjoy, along with a blackboard on the table with their names on it and a heart, rose petals and candles… little did she know what was about to happen… when Alisa asked Marissa if she had seen the ring box on the table she absentmindedly said yes but really, she was just looking around taking in the scene… only when Alisa got down on one knee she knew what was happening! It came as a complete surprise to her, and of course she said “Yes!”
Marissa & Alisa got married in Moorea last November; after getting these girls’ hair & make-up done in the morning, we headed to a private beach to hold their bespoke ceremony with a beautiful backdrop.
They then did a photo shooting at various places around the island that ended at the City Hall, where their marriage was officially solemnized.
Later that day, they celebrated with some Champagne I brought along, and enjoyed a night out at the greatest restaurant on the island where they were treated to a romantic dinner (and some more Champagne) on the beach with butler service.
Thank you so much Marissa & Alisa for your trust, it was a real pleasure and great honor to meet you and we wish you a life full of happiness!
