You may be thinking “Oh well, we are eloping to Tahiti, and it will be just the two of us, so it must be easy to find the people who will make our day, right?”.
“We are having a destination wedding in Moorea so the guest list is short, let’s just ask our resort to put something together for us!” or, “I don’t need to hire a wedding planner in Moorea, do I?”.
Is this YOU right now? Does it sound familiar?
It may not turn out the way you imagined it, easy and beautiful… hum, so do you really have to choose between easy and beautiful?
The truth is, a resort will have some cookie-cutter packages to choose from (that can come costly BTW) but you’ll quickly find out that this is what it is, a take-it-or-leave-it sort of package; one that you cannot personalize much, with set inclusions and chosen-for-you vendors. Wonder if it’s appropriate to email the resort staff with your inspirational Pinterest boards? I’m from a resort background and can answer that for you: sure, you can do that. The person will open the email, tell you how beautiful that is, and this is it. If by chance you get to work with someone who’s willing to go above and beyond to please you, you’ll quickly face the “difficulty of doing this or that” or “can’t do this or that” simply because a hotel staff doesn’t have the knowledge, experience or resource to make it happen.
Then why not trying to do it all by yourself then? Again, you’ll quickly realize that there is little to no resource available to help planning a wedding in Tahiti online (except for this blog of course!).
Bottom line is:
Unless you’re happy to go with an all-done-for-you wedding package and details don’t really matter to you, you’ll want to hire a wedding planner in Moorea (or anywhere you’ll have your wedding in French Polynesia) so you don’t have to compromise between easy and beautiful.
I’ve started this wedding pro insights’ series to help you get an honest picture of what it takes to plan a destination wedding or elopement in Tahiti, bringing in real wedding pros from around the world’s past experience to you.
Why Should I Hire A Wedding Planner In Moorea?
Piece of mind.
…because wedding planning sucks.
Couples should hire a wedding planner so they can relax and enjoy their engagement instead of sweating the small details. Do they really want to add wedding planning (which on average takes about 300 hours of their time) onto their daily list of work, personal, social, and relationship obligations? So you hire a professional that does this for a living and let THEM handle all the details and research for you. Then they are free to enjoy their engagement and each other before the big day. Win, win!
We are there to make sure you actually enjoy being engaged. We are a fresh set of trained eyes who can pick up on the wording of a contract, the details of the design/decor, and help make sure you are staying on task. We are a vast bubble (maybe that’s not the right word lol) of knowledge. We are there to keep you calm during the nervous moments that are bound to happen.
We save our clients time, money and stress!
Would you build a house without a professional contractor, carpenter, and electrician? This is a monumental event in your life that involves managing many vendors, understanding etiquette and navigating a barrage of misinformation and false ideals. A wedding planner is an expert at all of these things because they do these things every day. They will save you time, stress, and money while providing the unbiased guidance and support brides so desperately need when planning their wedding.
I always said that hiring a wedding planner saves you time, saves you money (by avoiding costly mistakes), and SAVES YOUR SANITY.
We take the stress away so that they can bask in their moment and focus on marrying the love of their life.
If you’re going to spend money on a wedding, spend it right. A planner knows how to manage a wedding budget efficiently. Plus why would you leave the most important day of your life to amateur? Hire an expert!
