Intimate wedding in Moorea

Ben & Tessa live in New-Zealand but they’re originally from the Netherlands.

Back in September, they traveled to Tahiti to have a small and intimate wedding in Moorea with their closest family and friends in attendance, who’ve made it all the way from Europe to join them for their destination wedding in Tahiti!

Ben absolutely remembers that the first time he saw Tessa walking in the hallway at high school, she caught his eye… well, her very colorful trousers did, and it was love at first sight.

Tessa admits that when Ben first arrived as a new student, what caught her eye was the strange clothing he was wearing… definitely not clothes you could buy in the Netherlands, and that really made him stand out.

So it was a fashion kind of crush for these two!

They quickly started chatting online through a mutual friend, to only later realize that Ben was Tessa’s good friend and classmate’s brother.
After several missed attempts at meeting for drinks at Wally’s place, they eventually met and from there, started hanging out and having drinks with the same friends on a regular basis; as the months and their time together have unfolded, their friendship progressed into a relationship.

Ben & Tessa stayed at a waterfront vacation rental home in Moorea along with their 9 guests, and opted to have their intimate wedding celebration held right there in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
After getting Tessa’s hair styled with a lovely Bohemian-style four-strand side braid, and her make-up done, we headed for the property’s deck over the water to hold their personal wedding ceremony.

The late afternoon colors over the lagoon in the background were amazing, and the gang popped the Champagne immediately afterwards the ceremony to celebrate – apple juice for our lovely Tessa who was expecting – to enjoy with the “Croquembouche”, our very own traditional French wedding cake.

While developing Ben & Tessa’s personal ceremony and interviewing the both of them, Ben expressed his wish to stop working and get his dream job as a stay-at-home father when Tessa finally finds a well-paid job… but with a nanny and cleaning lady to look after the house he said! I’m not sure about the nanny and cleaning lady at this point, but for sure these two will be amazing parents. Wish you all the best for this new adventure that is about to begin!
