Style Me Pretty released back in 2016 a(nother) list of wedding trends that they say have been so overdone these past few years that they should now retire, and offered a new perspective on those wedding trends as well as some alternatives to consider, so that your wedding looks fresh and new!

Among those Wedding Trends To Lose + Love, we shall debate about flower crowns vs. hair accessory, shall we?

We’ve never met a flower crown we didn’t like, and apparently, neither have brides because they were the “it” for a bridal accessory the past few wedding seasons.

Oh yes! Being a destination wedding planner in Tahiti, where most girls wouldn’t even go to the grocery store without wearing some flowers in their hair, I can safely say that…

Flower Crowns Will NEVER Go Out Of Style In Tahiti

Flower Crowns Come In All Styles And Colors

By the way, a traditional Polynesian ceremony will always have you (both) wear colourful flower crowns.

As an alternative, Style Me Pretty suggests to try a gorgeous hair accessory instead.

The best part? Your new hairpiece can become an heirloom that gets passed down to your future offspring!

As a Tahiti wedding officiant myself, conducting ceremonies of a Western-style in Moorea mostly, I’d say I have seen both trends equally requested by my brides. Do I have a preference? Nope! I love either style so GO With What You Love!
